The details...

So here's the deal. Evite wouldn't let me put all of the details of the cookie Saturday in my message because it was too wordy. So I figured I'd use this as another repository of information to prevent a lot of emails back and forth between everyone. Feel free to comment and converse among yourselves if you like.

So, I'm gonna start with the list of what you should consider bringing to this baking fiesta. I have a lot of these items too, but it doesn't hurt to have a lot of extras to prevent having to wash a lot of dishes throughout the day.

• cookie sheet pans/loaf pans/cake pans (whatever you need for your recipes)
  
• cooling racks
• baking utensils (spatulas, measuring cups, etc.)
  
• KitchenAid/mixer (possibly some extension cords, my outlet to KitchenAid ratio may not be adequate)
• decoration supplies ( sprinkles, icing, colored sugars, etc., if needed)
• mixing bowls
• storage containers for baked cookies (to take home your goodies!)
  

Next item up is the division of common items. I've set up the Evite so each of us can bring one of the major ingredients needed to avoid a lot of overlap (flour, sugar, etc.). Please select one of the items when you respond. As we get closer, we'll work out the quantities needed of these staples. Also, put the cookie recipes you'll be bringing in your comments of your response. I think there could be some overlap on the 'secondary' items too, (i.e. nuts, chocolate chips, etc.), so it will help if we all state what our recipes are. That way, if needed, we can coordinate those ingredients in advance too. If you have any questions, you can always email me and I can be the go-between for those who haven't met yet.

Ok, I think that's finally it! Feel free to comment at will should you choose, and don't forget to respond to the Evite with what you're bringing and what your recipes will be. I think this is going to be a lot of fun, and I'm really looking forward to sampling all of the cookies!
